4. Is the cost of mileage to and from medical appointments reimbursed?

If you must travel 10 miles or more from your home to attend a medical appointment (20-mile roundtrip), then you are entitled to mileage reimbursement for that trip. The reimbursement rate is modified by the Industrial Commission from time to time; for 2020, the rate is $0.575 per mile. Additionally, if you do not have access to transportation, the insurance carrier/employer must arrange for transportation to carry you to and from your appointments.
